If the regular-season series between Concordia and St. John’s was a rollercoaster ride at Six Flags Great America, the playoff match-up was a merry-go-round ride at the county fair. Concordia took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, rallied from a 2-1 deficit in the fifth inning and outlasted the Johnnies 6-4.

Concordia held its annual Senior Celebration Day on Monday – and it couldn’t have turned out any better. The Cobbers honored their nine seniors before the first game in newly renovated Bucky Burgau Field and then went out and swept Bethel to clinch a spot in the 4-team MIAC playoffs.

It was a fantastic way to finish off the annual spring trip to Florida. Concordia recorded their first sweep of the season as the beat Hamilton (N.Y.) 4-1 and 4-3. The two wins ups the Cobbers win streak to three games as they make the trek back to Minnesota. CC finishes the Florida season with a 5-7 record.
