Anderson, Horan And Kjelstrom Earn MIAC Honors

MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/13/25)---Thomas Horan (Sr., Moorhead, Minn.), Brock Anderson (Jr. Eden Prairie, Minn.) and Caiden Kjelstrom (Aitkin, Minn.) all received MIAC postseason honors as selected by the conference coaches.

Horan and Anderson were named to the MIAC All-Conference Team, while Kjelstrom earned MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.

Horan and Kjelstrom are multiple MIAC postseason award winners, and Anderson receives his first All-Conference award.

The three players helped Concordia post a 9-11 record in the MIAC, which was good for a tie for sixth place. CC posted a 19-20 overall record in their 39 games in 2025.

Horan, who received his third straight MIAC All-Conference award, led the Cobbers in hitting in league play with a .397 average. He also had team-high numbers in hits (27), RBI (17), total bases (39), slugging percentage (.574) and on-base-percentage (.469).

Horan finished 10th in the MIAC in batting average, seventh in hits, fifth in doubles and second in stolen bases. He was also in the Top 16 of the conference in nine different stat categories.

Horan finished his stellar Cobber career by posting school record numbers in hits (208) and RBI (139).

Anderson led Concordia in innings pitched in conference games. He was on the mound for 19.1 innings and posted a team-best 2.33 earned run average. He struck out 12 league opponents, and opposing hitters only posted a .191 batting average.    

Anderson, who pitched his first full season after recovering from an arm injury, would have been fourth in both ERA and opponents' batting average had he posted enough innings during the season.

Kjelstrom earned his second MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honor. He also received Honorable Mention honors in 2023.

Kjelstrom, the team's starting center fielder and leadoff hitter, was second on the Cobbers in hitting in league play with a .356 average. He led the MIAC in stolen bases with nine. He was second on the Cobbers in hits at 26 and was third in on-base percentage. Kjelstrom had a hit in 17 of the 20 conference games and at one point in the year he had reached base safely in 32 straight games which is believed to be a school record.

Kjelstrom was also one of the top centerfielders in the MIAC. He made several highlight reel catches during the year and didn't make an error in 50 chances in conference play.
