MOORHEAD, Minn. (12/10/25)---Concordia had three student-athletes named to the D3football.com All-Region 6 Second Team.
Sam Dioszeghy (Jr., Mound, Minn./Mound-Westonka HS) received his second straight All-Region honor, while Mason Hughes (So., Glendale, Ariz./Pinnacle HS) and Noah Lacey (Sr., Sparks, Nev./Spanish Springs HS) earned the recognition for the first time in their careers.
The three D3football.com All-Region honorees mark the second-highest total in a single year for the Cobbers. Concordia also had three players receive the D3football.com honor in 2022 and had four players named to the All-Region Team in 2005.
Concordia has now had at least one player earn D3football.com All-Region honors for fourth straight seasons and they have now had 26 athletes earn the award since its inception in 2005.
Dioszeghy was one of the leaders on the Concordia offensive line who helped CC finish second in the MIAC in rushing for the 2025 season. The Cobbers averaged 171.0 rushing yards for their 10 total games and rushed for over 200 yards in three of their last six games of the year.
In addition to being a powerhouse for the running game, Dioszeghy was also a key component for the Concordia passing attack which allowed 10 fewer sacks from a year ago.
Hughes reaped the benefits of Dioszeghy and the entire experienced Cobber offensive line as he led the conference in rushing. Hughes ran for 951 yards on the season which was the 12th highest in program history. He also led the league in rushing attempts in overall (171) and league games (149) and his rushing touchdown totals in both categories were second in the conference.
Lacey finished his career as a four-year starter as the team's snapper for punts, field goals and extra point attempts. His stellar ability to successfully get the ball to Concordia's punters and holders had head coach Terry Horan call Lacey, "the best snapper I have had in my 25 years of coaching."
