Pollock Promoted To Assistant Head Coach
Concordia head coach Terry Horan announced that offensive coordinator Jake Pollock has been promoted to assistant head coach. Pollock completed his fifth season with the Cobbers in the fall of 2025. He started as the offensive line coach in 2021 and was named the offensive coordinator in 2023.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/06/26)---Concordia head coach Terry Horan announced that offensive coordinator Jake Pollock has been promoted to assistant head coach.
Pollock completed his fifth season with the Cobbers in the fall of 2025. He started as the offensive line coach in 2021 and was named the offensive coordinator in 2023.
"Jake has made it clear that he wants to grow into a future head coach, and I believe in supporting those aspirations," Horan said. "Elevating Jake to Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator allows him to take on broader leadership responsibilities that will serve both our program and his long-term goals. This is about developing a young coach who has earned the opportunity to take the next step."
Pollock, who will continue to serve as the team's offensive coordinator has also been the special teams coordinator during his tenure at Concordia.
During Pollock's second season as offensive coordinator, the Cobber Offense saw several program records broken. On top of a 7-3 finish, 2024 witnessed quarterback Cooper Mattern break numerous individual career records as well as Concordia having its second consecutive MIAC Rookie of the Year.

Pollock came to Concordia from the United States Military Academy – West Point where he was the Defensive Recruiting Coordinator and Director of Recruiting Operations.
Prior to West Point, he was the Defensive Quality Control at Utah State University, where he was responsible for day-to-day operations amongst the defensive staff.
Pollock spent two seasons (2018-19) at the University of Sioux Falls and before that he was wide receivers coach at Wis.–Stout.
Pollock played for the Blue Devils during his undergraduate career and graduated in 2016 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Coaching.
