Things couldn’t have gone much better for the Cobbers in the second jamboree of the season as they rolled to three wins and outscored their opponents by a combined total of 127-18 in a trio of games played at Northwestern-St. Paul.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (4/18/26)---Things couldn't have gone much better for the Cobbers in the second jamboree of the season as they rolled to three wins and outscored their opponents by a combined total of 127-18 in a trio of games played at Northwestern-St. Paul.
Concordia opened the day by blanking Gustavus 41-0, continued their Cobber roll against Augustana (S.D.) with a 41-18 victory and finished the day by beating host Northwestern 45-0.
The Cobbers have now won four straight games and are atop the Midwest College Flag Football League standings with a 5-1 overall record. CC has scored 192 points in its six games which are the most by any team in the 9-squad league.
The Concordia offense had a pair of players score touchdowns in all three contests while senior Emily Larsen guided the defense and came away with three "Pick 6" TDs on the day.
Emma Sheflo and Bailey Quern were the top targets for quarterback Ashlyn Thompson, who earned Midwest League All-Conference honors last year, and put up big numbers over the course of the trio of games. Sheflo recorded a jamboree-high seven touchdowns in the three contests and Quern added a quartet of scores.

Concordia will turn its attention to the Championship Tournament held on Saturday, Apr. 25 at the Minnesota Vikings TCO Stadium in Eagan. The Cobbers will be one of the Top 2 seeds in the tournament.
