2026 Cobber Athletics Hall of Fame Class Announced
Concordia Athletic Director Rachel Bergeson announced that four former standout student-athletes and one award-winning coach will be inducted into the Cobber Athletics Hall of Fame this fall.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (6/04/26)---Concordia Athletic Director Rachel Bergeson announced that four former student-athletes and one award-winning head coach will be inducted into the Cobber Athletics Hall of Fame this fall.
Former men’s basketball All-Region honoree Keith Eckhoff, who was selected for last year’s Hall of Fame class but was unable to make the ceremony, will be officially inducted this year.
Eckhoff will be joined by three All-Americans which make up the student-athlete position of this year’s class. Swimming & Diving standout diver Emily Hall, volleyball frontline force Abby (Scheel) Crowser and former Cobber football powerhouse offensive lineman Grant Weller will all receive the departments highest accolade.
Former 2-time volleyball Region Coach of the Year Tim Mosser joins the four student-athletes, who will be inducted in the Concordia Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 10 as part of the annual Homecoming celebration.
Keith Eckhoff ’06 was the first men’s basketball athlete to earn D3hoops.com All-Region honors and one of only four players in program history to receive that award. In addition to his All-Region honor in 2005, he was also named to the MIAC All-Conference Team that year. Keith averaged 21.3 points per game in the 2005 season, which is one of only three times since 1976 that a Cobber player has finished a year by averaging more than 20.0 points per game. He also led the MIAC in free throw percentage that year and connected on 47.9 percent of his shots from 3-point range – the highest single-season percentage in Cobber history. Keith finished his career with 1,019 points and 121 3-point field goals.
Emily Hall ’05 became the second All-American in Cobber swimming and diving history when she placed fifth in the 1-meter diving competition in at the 2005 NCAA Championship Meet which was the highest finish by a Concordia swimmer or diver at that time. Emily was named the MIAC Diver of the Year in 2005 and 2003. She won the 1-meter event in 2005 and claimed the title in the 3-meter competition in 2003. Her winning score in the 2005 conference championship meet broke the school record. Emily also became the first swimmer or diver in program history to receive CSC (CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors.
Abby (Scheel) Crowser ’09 earned American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American honors as a senior in 2008. She was also named to the AVCA All-Region Team that same season. Abby earned MIAC All-Conference honors in 2007 and 2008 and helped the Cobbers win the MIAC regular season and tournament championship in 2006. She was also a key member of Concordia teams that made the NCAA Tournament in four straight seasons. Abby finished her career fifth on the school’s all-time list for solo blocks (119), and seventh in total career blocks (332).
Grant Weller ’08 is one of the most decorated offensive linemen in school history. He had a storybook senior season where he was named the MIAC Most Outstanding Lineman, earned D3football.com All-American honors and was placed on the D3football.com All-Region First Team. He capped his senior year by being invited to participate in the Aztec Bowl which, at the time, was an invitation only event for a group of Division III all-stars. Grant, who was the captain of the 2007 Cobber team, was a 2-time MIAC All-Conference honoree. He also earned the highest academic award for a student-athlete when he earned CSC (CoSIDA) Academic All-American honors in 2007.
Tim Mosser is the all-time winningest coach in Concordia volleyball history. He finished his storied career with 457 wins which at the time made him one of the all-time winningest coaches in MIAC history. Tim guided the Cobbers to MIAC regular season titles in 2006 and 2001 and captured an outstanding four postseason championships (2003, 2004, 2006, 2011). He was named the AVCA Region Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2011 and the MIAC Coach of the Year in three seasons in 1995, 2006 and 2011. In addition to his individual honors, Tim also guided Concordia to 10 NCAA playoff berths and six consecutive national tournament appearances from 2003-08.
This year’s Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 5 p.m. on the campus of Concordia College.
