Cobbers Finish Off Pre-MIAC Meet Schedule
Concordia finished off its pre-MIAC competition by finishing ninth at the annual Twin Cities Classic. The Cobbers fired a 3-day total of 925 (303-303-319) in the tournament that was contested at the Elk River CC, Links at Northfork and Le Sueur CC.

Sophomore Ryan Engel shot the low score for the Cobbers in each of the first two rounds and finished with a total of 229. He opened with a 74 then posted a 75 on Sunday and came home with an 80 on Monday.
Engel has led the Cobbers in three of the four tournaments this season and leads the team in scoring average with a 74.3 mark.
Freshman Mitchell Dewey was the team's No.2 finisher at the meet. It marks the first time he has been in the team's Top 3 for a tourney finish. Dewey went out with a 75 on Saturday, shots a 77 on Day 2 and then came home with an 83.
Fellow first-year player Andrew Swanson was No.3 for the Cobbers with a 235. He went 80-76-79 and has now finished in the Top 3 of the team in three straight meets. He is second on the team in scoring with a 76.9 average over seven rounds.
Justin Lamp and Jack Hanson rounded out the Cobbers' scoring team. Lamp was No.2 for the Cobbers entering the final round after posting scores of 76 and 75 but then fell to an 85 on Monday and recorded a total of 236. Hanson saved his best score for round No.3 when he fired a team-best 77. Hanson opened with a 78, shot 84 on Sunday and finished at 239.
Senior Colton Westra and freshman Tommy Disch played as individuals for CC. Westra saved his best for last as he carded the second-best score by a Concordia player on Monday. He shot a 78 which finished his tournament at 246. Disch's best round was a 77 in the opener and he posted a 249 for the three rounds.
Concordia will head to Edina to play in the MIAC Championship Meet at Braemar GC on Oct. 5-7.
