News mentions
Concordia is down but not out in its quest for its 11th consecutive MIAC playoff appearance. The Cobbers rallied to take the lead in the third period of the series finale in St. Peter but then gave up a goal in the final 5 minutes of regulation and one more with 56 seconds left in overtime and lost 5-4.
Concordia gave up two goals in the first 6 minutes of their series finale with Bethel, allowed two goals in each of the three periods, and lost 6-0.
Mason Plante scored his fourth goal in the last two games, but it wasn't enough as the Cobbers gave up four goals in the first period and lost 6-3 at Marian in the series opener.
A goal in the fourth minute of overtime kept Concordia from earning an extra point in the MIAC standings in their series opener at Hamline.
Concordia used its offensive zone passing prowess to score three goals in the final 35 minutes of play against Hamline and posted a 3-1 win in the non-conference contest.
Make it three straight games to start the season without a loss for Concordia. The Cobbers extended its unbeaten streak by scoring the first four goals against Northland and cruised to a 6-2 win.
