O'Connell, Luedtke & O'Leary Earn CSC Academic Honors
Senior Cole O'Connell, junior Hanson O'Leary and sophomore Ben Luedtke earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (6/30/24)---Concordia had three student-athletes earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District At-Large Team honors.
Cole O'Connell (Sr., Moorhead, Minn.) receives his second consecutive CSC Academic All-District award, while sophomore Ben Luedtke (Wayzata, Minn.) and junior Hanson O'Leary (Roseau, Minn.) earn the honor for the first time in their careers.
To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and have played in at least 50 percent of the team's competition throughout the season.
The at-large category consists of student-athletes who participated in men's and women's golf, men's and women's hockey, men's and women's gymnastics, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's skiing and wrestling.
O'Connell was the top point player among the three honorees. He finished the year with seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points. He finished his Cobber career with 62 points and played in 79 games. O'Connell was a Finance major with a minor in Accounting and had a 3.83 grade point average.
Luedtke played in all 25 games for Concordia in 2023-24 and finished with three goals and three assists. Like O'Connell, he is a Finance major but carries a minor in Data Analytics. Luedtke has a 3.91 GPA.
O'Leary finished in the Top 7 on the team in goals and assists. He also played in all 25 games and came away with six goals and seven assists for 13 points. O'Leary is a Business Marketing major and has a 3.76 GPA.
The Division III Academic All-America program is financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure, to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Division III Academic All-America team's program.
