The statistics at the end of the game were similar with Simpson holding a 5-3 edge in shots on goal and a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Cameron Bolinske, Parker Gast and Jagger Hooper had the shots on frame for Concordia.
The game-winning goal was set up when one of the Cobber defenders committed a foul inside the penalty area after a Storm attacker was played through on the left wing.
Cobber goalie Jensen Waltz made three saves in the game.
Concordia will finish off the weekend when they play host Neb. Wesleyan on Sunday at 1 p.m.
