MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/18/24)---A lone goal in the first half proved to be the difference in the Cobbers' non-conference home game against Wis.-River Falls.
Concordia had a costly turnover in their defensive third of the field lead to the Falcon's game-winning goal at the 13:31 mark which sent the Cobbers to their sixth consecutive defeat.
The Cobbers are now 1-6-0 on the season while River Falls ups its mark to 2-3-0.
The game was an even affair with both teams having extended periods of pressure in their attacking half of the field.
The Falcons held a slim 4-3 advantage in shots on goal. River Falls also held an 11-7 edge in total shots and a 4-1 margin in shots on goal.
Senior Yonas Adams posted a team-high two total shots and he, Dylan Sipe and Xabier Citte had the shots on frame for CC.
First-year keeper Camden Fouth made his first collegiate start and turned aside three shots.
Concordia will return to MIAC play on Saturday, Sept. 21 when they travel to Northfield to take on Carleton at 3:30 p.m.
