Cobbers' Rally Falls Short At Wis.-River Falls
Concordia gave up the first four goals in their second non-conference game in Wisconsin on the weekend and lost 4-2 at Wis.-River Falls.
RIVER FALLS, Wis. (9/7/25)---Concordia gave up the first four goals in their second non-conference game in Wisconsin on the weekend and lost 4-2 at Wis.-River Falls.
The Falcons (3-1-0) were able to score two goals in a span of 16 minutes in the first half, added a third in the second minute of the second half before scoring their final goal at the 73:18 mark.
The Cobbers (0-2-2) got on the board in the 76th minute of play when Ricco Rolle picked up possession of an errant pass in the final 25 yards of the Cobber offensive zone and slotted the ball past the keeper into the right corner of the net.
Concordia's second goal came courtesy of dead ball specialist Parker Gast. River Falls was whistled for a foul 28 yards out from goal and Gast was able to step up and strike the ball around the wall and into the lower left corner of the net.
The goal was Gast's second dead ball tally of the season. He also had a 35-yard free kick strike in the season opener against St. John's.
The Falcons held a 23-11 edge in total shots and an 11-3 advantage in shots on goal.
Rolle and Colin Moore both had a team-high three shots in the game, while keeper Jack Solheid finished with six saves.
Concordia will stay on the road for their next game when they travel to Morris, Minn. To take on Minn.-Morris on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 5 p.m.
