DULUTH, Minn. (10/11/25) — St. Scholastica used a strong first half to take a 4-0 lead into the break against Concordia. The Saints scored twice in a six-minute span midway through the half and added two more before halftime.
Concordia created several quality chances, including shots from Dylan Sipe, Gannon Brooks, Nickolaus Herrboldt, and Parker Gast. Sipe and Brooks gave the Cobbers their best looks of the half, each putting a shot on goal, but CSS keeper Ben Hallberg kept the visitors off the board.
Concordia tightened up defensively in the second half but couldn't overcome St. Scholastica's early lead, falling 4-0 in MIAC play. Goalkeeper Jack Solheid turned in a strong performance after halftime, making several key saves to keep the Saints off the board. The Cobbers generated multiple set-piece opportunities, including shots from Sipe and Ricco Rolle, but Hallberg held firm to preserve the shutout.
The physical tone carried into the second half, with two red cards and multiple cautions issued as both teams battled through the final minutes.
Concordia returns home next week to face Macalester on Wednesday in Moorhead.
