Cobbers Fall to Gustavus in MIAC Match
Concordia traveled to St. Peter on Wednesday and came up short against Gustavus Adolphus, falling 5-0 in MIAC action.
ST. PETER, Minn. (10/22/25) – Concordia fell 5-0 to Gustavus Adolphus on Wednesday afternoon at Gustavus' home field in St. Peter.
The Gusties struck early, taking a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute when Joe Flory finished off a pass from Ryder Tomlinson. Gustavus doubled the advantage in the 23rd minute as Diego Paulin found the back of the net off a feed from Kieran Mahan.
Despite the early deficit, the Cobbers generated a few chances in the first half, including shots on goal from Liam Weis and Jagger Hooper, but were turned away by Gustie keeper Jackson Baker.
Gustavus extended its lead early in the second half, scoring three times in a 20-minute stretch. Mahan tallied a pair of goals, and Tomlinson added one of his own to secure the win for the the home team
Jack Solheid finished with five saves in goal for the Cobbers, facing 9 total shots on frame.
Concordia will continue MIAC play on Saturday, Oct. 25, when they travel to face Saint John's for a 3:30 start time.
