Concordia returned to action after a 2-week break and lost 7-2 to St. Olaf in a match played at the West Hills Tennis and Fitness Center in Owatonna.
It was an identical 2-match storyline for the Cobbers in their conference matches against St. John’ and Hamline over the weekend. Concordia lost by identical 6-3 scores to the Johnnies and Pipers, and got their wins from the standout freshmen duo of Logan Sandberg and Kai Pierce.
Concordia split its two non-conference matches against UMAC opponents on Saturday. The Cobbers opened the day with a solid, 8-1 win over Minn.-Morris, but then dropped a 9-0 decision against unbeaten Wis.-Superior.
It was truly a Super Sunday for Concordia. THe Cobbers lost only four games in singles play on their way to a 9-0 route of Crown.
