PR Point Totals For Molstre & Peterson At MIAC Decathlon
Joey Molstre and Josh Peterson both posted personal best point totals at the MIAC decathlon held at Carleton College.
NORTHFIELD, Minn. (5/02/25)---Joey Molstre and Josh Peterson both posted personal best point totals at the MIAC decathlon held at Carleton College.
Molstre placed eighth in the final individual standings with 5,710 points, and Peterson was 13th at 4,635 points.
Molstre's point total is 117 points more than his previous personal best, which he posted earlier in the spring at the Cobber Sunny Day Meet. Peterson's PR also came at the Sunny Day multi when he finished with 4,536 points.
Molstre's top-scoring event on Friday came in the 110-meter hurdles. He clocked a 16.40 and earned 688 points. He nearly reached the 600-point mark in the final event. Molstre crossed the line in the 1500 meters in a time of 4:54.21, which got him 594 points.
Molstre scored in the 400s in both the discus and pole vault. He posted a distance of 93-10 in the discus and cleared 11-05.75 in the pole vault.
Peterson's top event on Day 2 was the discus, where he scored 494 points with a mark of 103-03.
Peterson started the day by recording a PR in the 110-meter hurdles. He finished in a time of 18.47, which marked the first time he has broken the 19-second mark.
Molstre and Peterson will join the rest of the Cobbers when they host the Cobber Open on Saturday, May 3 at 1 p.m.
