Five Student-Athletes Earn CSC Academic Honors
Cobber student-athletes Logan Clark (Jr., Sartell, Minn.), Blake Houska (So., Hickson, N.D./Kindred HS), Peyton Johnsrud (Sr., Starbuck, Minn./Minnewaska HS), Peyton Kessel (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South HS) and Gabe Thompson (Perham, Minn.) were all named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for track and field.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (6/25/25)---Cobber student-athletes Logan Clark (Jr., Sartell, Minn.), Blake Houska (So., Hickson, N.D./Kindred HS), Peyton Johnsrud (Sr., Starbuck, Minn./Minnewaska HS), Peyton Kessel (Fargo, N.D./Fargo South HS) and Gabe Thompson (Perham, Minn.) were all named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for track and field.
Clark and Johnsrud receive the academic award for the second consecutive season, while Houska, Kessel and Thompson are all first-time honorees.
Each institution may nominate up to five student-athletes for Academic All-District recognition in the track & field and cross country category. The 2025 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom.
To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a grade-point average above 3.50 (4.0 scale) and be seeded in the Top 50 of the region of the TFRRS performance rankings.
Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
The Division III Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the Division III Academic All-America teams' program.

Logan Clark

- Ranked 42nd in the region in the 110-meter hurdles
- Finished 10th in the 110-meter hurdles at the MIAC Championship Meet
Blake Houska
- 4.00 GPA
- Major: Finance
- Ranked 24th in the region in the shot put and 31st in the hammer throw
- Finished second in the shot put and fifth in the hammer at the MIAC Championship Meet
Peyton Johnsrud
- 3.56 GPA
- Major: Healthcare Administration
- Ranked 25th in the region in the high jump
- Finished third in the high jump at the MIAC Championship Meet
Peyton Kessel
- 3.92 GPA
- Major: Biology
- Minor: Chemistry
- Ranked 48th in the region in the high jump
- Finished ninth in the high jump at the MIAC Championship Meet
Gabe Thompson
- 3.73 GPA
- Major: Exercise Science
- Minor: Mathematics
- Ranked 46th in the region in the triple jump
- Finished 12th in the triple jump at the MIAC Championship Meet
