Little, Nack And Tibbetts Hitting Streaks Not Enough
The Little, Nack and Tibbetts Show continued to roll through MIAC pitching but it wasn’t enough as Concordia lost 5-0, 11-3 at Hamline.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (4/12/15)—The Madison Little, Kayla Nack and Ashley Tibbetts Show continued to roll through MIAC pitching but it wasn't enough as Concordia lost 5-0, 11-3 at Hamline on Sunday.
Little, Nack and Tibbetts all had at least one hit in both games, went a combined 8-for-19 and drove in two of the team's three runs on the day.
The two losses drops Concordia's overall record to 9-14 on the season. The Cobbers are now 3-9 in league play. Hamline wins for the seventh straight game and moves to 18-6 for the season. The Pipers lead the MIAC with an 11-1 conference record.
Concordia's two best chances to score in the opener came in the first and third innings. The Cobbers got two hits in each inning and had runners on first and second but were unable to come up with a run-producing hit.
Hamline scored a pair of runs in the first and then added three more in the third to finish off the scoring.
Little went 2-for-3 from the leadoff spot while Nack and Tibbetts were 1-for-3. Junior outfielder Kellie Morehouse collected the other hit in the first game for CC. All five hits in game 1 were singles.
Hillary Rotunda pitched a complete game for Concordia and allowed three earned runs on seven hits. She struck out six in the game.
The Cobbers picked up all three runs in the second game in the third inning and briefly took a 3-0 lead. The lead would be short-lived as Hamline scored four times in the bottom of the inning, added six more in the fourth and then closed out the game on the eight-run rule by adding one more in the sixth.
Nack singled home Little and Sadie Ness for two of the team's three runs in the third. Morehouse then picked up an infield single which plated Gabby Gardner.
Concordia had seven hits in the nightcap – and once again all seven hits were singles. Nack was the only CC hitter with more than one base knock as she went 2-for-3 with the two RBI.
Nack and Little have now hit safely in six straight games while Tibbetts has a four-game hitting streak going. The six-game hitting streaks are the longest since the 2013 season when Paige Beseman hit safely in nine straight games.
Little now leads the team with a .385 average. That is 118 points above her average from a year ago. Little is hitting .410 in conference play which is ninth best in the MIAC.
Concordia will have three more conference doubleheaders in the upcoming week. The Cobbers will play at bethel on Tuesday, Apr. 14 and then at St. Olaf on Thursday, Apr. 16 before returning home to host Macalester on Saturday, Apr. 18.
