Frye Named To NFCA All-Region Team
Concordia sophomore pitcher Bayleigh Frye (Apple Valley, Calif.) added another award to her standout season resume as she earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region honors.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/21/25)---Concordia sophomore pitcher Bayleigh Frye (Apple Valley, Calif.) added another award to her standout season resume as she earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region honors.
Frye was named to the All-Region IX Second Team by NFCA. She is only the fifth player, and sixth overall, in program history to receive the award, and first since 2021 when Megan Gavin was also placed on the All-Region Second Team.

Frye earned All-Region status by leading the Cobbers to a 20-18 record, which was only the fifth time in school history that Concordia had posted at least 20 wins in a year.
Frye finished the year with a school-record 1.35 earned run average. She was 13-4 on the season, and her 13 wins are the second most in program history. Frye also posted eight shutouts over the course of the season. That mark also broke the school record of five set back in 2000 by Cobber Hall of Famer Erin Gunderson.
Frye pitched in 119.1 innings and struck out 115 batters. She only conceded 21 extra-base hits during the season, and opposing batters only hit .230.
Frye led the MIAC in ERA in all games for 2025. She was also second in strikeouts, third in opponents' batting average, fourth in wins and seventh in innings pitches.
