Four Cobbers Repeat As CSC Academic Honorees
Seniors Emma Bowman (Morris, Minn.) and Danielle Lyon (St. Joseph, Minn./Holdingford HS) as well as juniors Kailee Falconer (Sartell, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral HS) and Lauren Staples (Hibbing, Minn./Cherry HS) all received the Academic All-District award for the second straight year.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/27/25)---Concordia had four student-athletes earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Honors.
Seniors Emma Bowman (Morris, Minn.) and Danielle Lyon (St. Joseph, Minn./Holdingford HS) as well as juniors Kailee Falconer (Sartell, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral HS) and Lauren Staples (Hibbing, Minn./Cherry HS) all received the Academic All-District award for the second straight year.
The four players helped Concordia to a highly successful season as the Cobbers posted a 20-18 overall record, marking only the fifth time in program history that CC has put up 20 victories in a single year.
The 2025 Academic All-District softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
In order to be eligible for the accolade, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50. Position players must have competed in at least 90 percent of team games played or have started at least 66 percent of the total number of team games played. For pitchers, players must pitch at least 35.0 innings or appear in 17 games.

- Played in 27 games and hit .290 for the 2025 season as the team's starting shortstop
- Played in 102 games in her Cobber career
Kailee Falconer
- 3.82 GPA

- Minor: Art & Design and Public Relations
- Played in 37 games and hit .238 with 22 stolen bases as the team's starting right fielder
Danielle Lyon
- 3.82 GPA
- Major: Healthcare Administration
- Played in 35 games and hit .276 with 15 RBI in 2025 as the team's starting third base person
- Played in 107 games in her Cobber career
Lauren Staples
- 3.91 GPA
- Major: Nursing
- Pitched in 49.1 innings and went 4-4 with a 4.68 ERA in 2025
