ST. PAUL, Minn. (4/16/26)---Concordia returned to the road for a doubleheader in St. Paul and were swept by Macalester 8-0 and 6-1.
The Cobbers were playing their first road games since Apr. 7 and couldn't overcome the pitching of the Scots. CC had two hots in the first game and eight in the second as they lost for the eighth straight time. Concordia is now 8-14 overall and 0-8 in conference play. Macalester remains unbeaten in the MIAC and moves to 9-0. The Scots are 18-9 in all games.
Megan Guggisberg was the only Cobber player to have a hit in both games. She was 2-for-6 on the day and scored the team's only run. She continues to lead the team in hitting with a .379 average and has hit safely in six of the past seven games.

Bailey Plante also had a multiple-hit game in the finale. She was 2-for-3 in the second multiple-hit game of her college career.
Game 1: Concordia 0, Macalester 8
Concordia threatened right away in the first inning. After a walk to Morgan Guggisberg and a single from Megan Guggisberg, the Cobbers had runners on second and third with two outs. Unfortunately for CC they would be unable to score the first run of the game and grab the early momentum.
The Scots broke the game open with three runs in the third and added two more in the fourth and then posted a 3‑run fifth inning to end the game via the run rule.
Reese Hauck added the team's only other hit with a two‑out single in the fourth.
Cobber starter Kegen Coulson worked four innings, allowing six earned runs on nine hits while striking out one. Lauren Kohlgraf entered in the fifth and battled through a bases‑loaded situation.

Macalester carried over the momentum from the final inning in Game 1 to the first inning of Game 2. The Scots struck for a single run in the opening inning to grab a 1-0 lead.
Concordia tied the game with a 2-out rally in the top of the third. Megan Guggisberg singled to right field and then moved up all the way to third on a single off the bat of Maki. Guggisberg scored on a throwing error from the catcher to even the score at 1-1.
The Scots won the game by scoring three times in the fourth and single runs in the fifth and sixth frames.
CC was outhit 10-8 in the second game with Maki and Plante combining for five of the team's base knocks. Megan Guggisberg, Morgan Guggisberg and Olivia Olberding had the other hits for the Cobbers.
Mallory Leitner got the start in the finale and went 4.1 innings and struck out a pair. She gave way to Coulson in the fifth inning, and she finished off the final 1.2 frames without giving up an earned run.
