Cobbers Caught At The Wire In La Crosse

The Cobbers never trailed in their game with the Eagles until the final minute of play and lost 62-58. La Crosse only led for 2:29 of the game, which came at the very start of the contest and then at the very end when they connected on six free throw attempts to break the 56-56 tie.
The loss drops Concordia's record to 3-2 on the season. La Crosse wins for the first time in the last six games and ups its record to 5-2.
Neither team was able to find their shooting rhythm in the game. Both teams shot under 32.0% from the floor and 30.0% from outside the arc in a game that featured 42 fouls and 45 free throws.
The Cobbers shot 28.8% (17-for-59) from the field, 29.2% (7-for-24) from 3-point range and 68.0% (17-for-25) from the free throw line. The field goal and free throw numbers are season lows for CC.
The Falcons posted a field goal percentage of 31.8% (21-for-66), shot 27.8% (5-for-18) from distance and made 75.0% (15-for-20) of their attempts from the free throw line.
Concordia had two players with a double-digit scoring total and were led by Carlee Sieben who finished with 16 points. She went 6-for-7 from the free throw line.
Fellow senior Jordyn Kahler was 4-for-7 from the field and finished with 10 points.
Makayla Anderson came away with game-high totals in rebounds and assists. She recorded 12 rebounds and dished out three assists. She also added nine points. The 12 rebounds are a season high and she now has 596 for her career.
Concordia will look to get back on the winning track when they open conference play at Bethel on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
