MOORHEAD, Minn. (2/2/26) — Concordia-Moorhead women's basketball earned national recognition this week as the Cobbers were ranked No. 24 in the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll for Week Nine, the organization announced Monday.
After a dominant start to the season, Concordia claimed the 25th spot with 50 points and will look to continue climbing the national rankings as the season progresses.
This is the third time this season the Cobbers have been in the Top 25. They first earned a ranking in Week Five at No. 25 and were ranked No. 24 in Week Seven. This marks the third straight season that Concordia has appeared in the D3hoops.com Top 25.
The D3hoops.com Top 25 poll is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, sports information directors, and media members from across the country. Last year, Concordia was ranked No. 23 after beating UW–Stout in their third game. Prior to that, the last time the Cobbers appeared in the Top 25 was in 2014.
Concordia currently holds a 16-3 overall record and is 10-2 in MIAC play. Their start this season marks the fastest climb to double-digit victories since the 1988 Division III National Championship season.
The Cobbers are the only MIAC program ranked in this week's poll. Recently, they defeated Saint Benedict on January 28th (57-53) and Gustavus Adolphus on January 31st (66-59). Concordia is currently ranked No. 1 in the MIAC.
Nationally, New York University, Scranton, and UW–Oshkosh occupy the top three spots in the Week Nine rankings.
