Women's Golf in 2nd after Rd. 1 of Cobber Invite

Moorhead, MN (9/07/2019)---The Concordia College women's golf team is in 2nd place after the first round of the Cobber Invite hosted by the Cobbers and held at the Moorhead Country Club.

The Cobbers tallied a team score of 354 (+66) and trail St. Bennedict who turned in a team score of 337. 

For the second weekend in a row junior Bailey Klause is leading the Cobbers. Klause is currently tied for 1st after turning in a first round 80 (+8), she is tied with Bridget Amundson (St. Bennedict).  Just two strokes behind the leaders Katie Krueger is tied for 3rd, turning in a first round 82, while Abbey Frauenholtz follows and is tied for 12th.  Katie Froemke and Jenna Pauly are both in the top 25, finishing the first round in 17th place and 21st place, respectively. 

Concordia will return to Moorhead Country Club for round two on Sunday as they look to move to the top of the leaderboard.
