Zimmerman Leads Cobbers At MIAC Meet
Sophomore Addicyn Zimmerman led Concordia at the 3-day MIAC Championship Meet held at the St. Cloud Country Club.
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (9/30/24)---Sophomore Addicyn Zimmerman led Concordia at the 3-day MIAC Championship Meet held at the St. Cloud Country Club.
Zimmerman was the most consistent golfer of any MIAC player at the conference championship meet. She shot three identical scores of 87 over the Par 72 course. Her final total of 261 earned her a tie for 33rd place in the final individual standings.
Zimmerman's 3-round total of 261 was 16 shots better than her score at last year's MIAC Meet.
Zimmerman's improved sophomore year finish also helped Concordia finish 10th in the final team standings with scores of 388, 372 and 379 for a total of 1139.
First-year athlete Madi Ramler was the No.2 finisher for the Cobbers. She opened with a 97 and steadily improved in each round. She carded a 90 on Sunday and then capped the meet with an 85 on Monday – the lowest round by any CC golfer at the meet. Her total of 272 got her a Top 40 individual finish.
Junior Lauren Lamp had her best round on Sunday when she scored an 88. She shot a 93 on Saturday and ended the tournament with a 99. Her total of 280 is the second lowest score at a MIAC Meet in her college career.
Playing in her first college golf meet, senior Carlee Sieben was the final member of the Cobber team over the weekend. The All-Region women's basketball award winner was added to the team at the last minute and finished with a final total of 326.
