Concordia posted its best finish at the MIAC Championship Meet in six years as they placed eighth in the final team standings at the 3-day tournament held at Braemar GC in Edina.
EDINA, Minn. (10/06/25)---Concordia posted its best finish at the MIAC Championship Meet in six years as they placed eighth in the final team standings at the 3-day tournament held at Braemar GC in Edina.
The Cobbers posted a team score of 1055 (345-350-360) which is also the lowest total at a conference meet by CC in six years and the 345 they carded in the first round is also the lowest single round total in six years.
First-year student-athlete Nora Benson led the Concordia charge at the MIAC Meet. She posted three scores in the 80s and came home with a total of 249. Her scored got her a Top 30 finish and is the lowest by a Cobber player in a full 3-round conference meet since Bailey Klause recorded a 243 at the 2019 meet.
Benson came away with identical scores of 81 in the first two rounds and then came home with an 87 on Monday.
Madi Ramler and Aubry Zimmerman were deadlocked for the team's No.2 and No.3 finishers. Both golfers ended the tournament at 267. Ramler opened with an 89 then shots a 92 on Sunday before posting an 86 – her best round of the tournament. Ramler's total of 267 was five shots clear of the score she posted last year at her first collegiate meet.
Zimmerman's best round came on Dayu 1 when she shot an 86. She then went 91 and 90 to earn a Top 40 finish in her first collegiate conference tournament.
Addicyn Zimmerman was on course to finish in the Top 30 but then carded a 97 on Monday and finished at 272. Addicyn Zimerman started with an 89 and then posted an 86 on Day 2.
Lauren Lamp was the final member of the Cobber championship team. She recorded a total of 282 with rounds of 92, 93 and 97.
