Concordia exploded for three goals in their series finale at St. Mary’s as they battled to a 3-3 overtime tie with the playoff-bound Cardinals.
Concordia allowed a pair of goals 40 seconds apart in the second half of the first period, could never recover, and lost 6-0 to No.3-ranked Gustavus.
Concordia trailed 1-0 after one to the defending national champions but then gave up four of the next five goals and lost 5-1 to #3 Gustavus. Sophomore Morgan Sauvageau had the lone goal for the Cobbers.
Concordia honored its seven seniors before its game with St. Olaf, which marked the final time that the Cobbers will play at the Moorhead Sports Center this season.
Concordia ran into the No.1-ranked team in Division III in its first game of 2024 and lost 8-0.
