2-Goal Lead Disappears In Final 14 Minutes

It looked like Concordia was headed for its first conference win of the season in the series finale with St. Benedict. The Cobbers had a 2-goal lead with 15 minutes left in the third period but then surrendered two goals in the final 14 minutes of regulation, gave up the game-winner 8 seconds into the overtime period and lost 5-4.              

First-year player Taylyn Cope fires a shot on goal in the Cobbers' season-opening win.  She scored her first college goal in the game.
A Flood Of Firsts In The Season Opener

It was a flood of firsts for Concordia and Dubuque in the season opener on Saturday. Concordia gave up the first goal of the game to first-year program Dubuque but then rattled off six straight scores to post a 6-1 in the season opener.
