Another Successful Shutout
Concordia won its fourth shutout game of the season as they scored three times and beat Hamline 3-0.

STORY LINE: A goal in the final three minutes of the first half and then a second at the 4:10 mark of the second period helped Concordia record a 3-0 win over Hamline in Moorhead. The Cobbers outshot the Pipers 14-5 as they posted their first conference win since the end of last September.
RECORDS: The Cobbers snap a 2-game skid and are now 4-3-0 in all games. The victory is the first MIAC win and puts their league mark at 1-2-0. The Pipers lose for the second straight game and are 3-4-1 overall and a similar 1-2 in the MIAC.
TWO-GOAL CREW: Concordia had three different players score goals on Saturday and for all three it was their second goal of the season. Halle Jordan recorded the eventual game-winning goal at 42:08 then Abby Westbee doubled the lead at 49:10 before Klara Beinhorn finished off the score sheet at 66:55. All three players also tied, or broke, their single-season goal record. Jordan had a pair of goals last season as her career high. Beinhorn's previous top total was one and Westbee continues to find the net after entering the season without a goal.
SHUTOUTS OR NOTHING: Concordia has won four games this season and in all four the Cobbers blanked their opponent.
THREE FOR THREE: Of the four Cobber wins this season, three have been by an identical 3-0 margin.
BO KNOWS SCORING: Kirsten Bokinskie earned an assist on the second goal of the game and has now put up a point in four of the past five games. Bokinskie is currently tied for the team lead in points with 10 which is a single-season career record. She entered her senior season with only one point in her previous three years.
MORE MADDY: Cobber senior keeper Maddy Reed made three saves in the game to record her fourth shutout of the season and 12th of her career. She also lowered her career GAA to 1.38.
UP NEXT: Concordia will have little time to enjoy their first league win as they host WIAC opponent Wis.-River Falls on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. The Falcons are 5-2-1 this year and are coming off a loss to St. Mary's on Wednesday.
