MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/7/25) – Concordia women's soccer earned its second tie of the season after battling Nebraska Wesleyan to a 0-0 draw on Sunday afternoon at the Jake Christiansen Athletic Complex.
The Cobbers (0-1-2) and Prairie Wolves (1-2-1) traded chances throughout the 90 minutes, but neither side was able to find the finishing touch. Senior goalkeeper Julia Roark anchored the Concordia defense, coming up with a pair of key saves in each half to preserve the clean sheet.
Concordia's best look came in the 74th minute when Kara Ellis sent a shot just wide of the right post after a corner kick. In the closing minutes, Abby Feddema put pressure on the Prairie Wolves back line with a shot from distance, but it was held out.
Nebraska Wesleyan's Emily Abeyta proved to be the most dangerous attacker on the afternoon, forcing multiple saves from Roark and keeping the Cobber defense on its heels.
The result marks Concordia's second draw of the young season and gives the Cobbers momentum heading into their next game.
Concordia will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 10, when they host Wisconsin-Superior at home.
