MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/10/25) – Concordia had the better of the play and plenty of chances on Tuesday night, but the Cobbers couldn't find the back of the net and had to settle for a 0–0 draw with Wisconsin-Superior at Memorial Field.
From the opening whistle, the Cobbers kept the Yellowjackets under pressure. Emma Sheflo and Tyra Skjeret each forced saves in the first 15 minutes, and Ava Sylvester nearly broke through with a dangerous shot in the 20th.
The Cobbers kept pushing after halftime. Kara Ellis and Kate Corradi both came close, and Sylvester added another chance in the 50th minute, but every look was turned away. Concordia finished with 13 shots and seven on goal, with Sylvester leading the attack with three attempts.
While the offense pressed forward, senior keeper Julia Roark locked things down in the back. She made six saves, including big stops in the 29th, 64th, and 78th minutes, to post her third shutout of the year. Roark now leads the MIAC in shutouts (3), goals against average (.250), and save percentage (.994).
The Cobbers will be back on the field next Tuesday, Sept. 16, when they head to St. Paul to take on Hamline. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
