DULUTH, Minn. (10/111/25)---A goal in the 31st minute of each half sent the Cobbers to a 2-0 defeat in Duluth against St. Scholastica.
Concordia conceded the opening goal at 30:02 and then the insurance marker at 75:11 as they dropped to 0-7-4 in all games and 0-5-1 in the MIAC. The Saints are now 4-7-3 in all games and 2-2-2 in conference play.
The first goal came off of a cross from the right wing where a St. Scholastica attacker ran on to the service and 1-timed it into the far corner of the net. The second goal was a shot from outside the penalty area on the left wing that sailed just under the crossbar on the far right side of the goal.
Concordia was outshot 24-6 in total shots and 16-2 in shots on goal.
Kara Ellis had a team-high two shots while Briella Kiley and Emma Sheflo had the shots on target.
CC goalie Julia Roark made a season-high 14 saves. She now has 51 saves in conference play, which is the most by any keeper in the MIAC. Her 76 total saves are third highest.
Concordia will return home and host Macalester on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 4 p.m.
