MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/18/25) – Concordia-Moorhead put together a gritty defensive effort at home on Saturday afternoon but ultimately fell 5–0 to St. Olaf in MIAC women's soccer action.
The Cobbers held the Oles scoreless through the opening 38 minutes behind a composed performance from goalkeeper Julia Roark, who was outstanding between the pipes. Roark finished the match with 12 saves, keeping Concordia within striking distance against one of the top offensive teams in the conference.
St. Olaf broke through late in the first half to take a 1–0 lead into the break, then added four more in the second half to secure the win. Despite the scoreline, the Cobbers continued to compete through all 90 minutes, limiting clean looks and forcing the Oles to work for their scoring opportunities.
Concordia's lone shot on the day came from Kara Ellis, who drove a low attempt on goal in the 37th minute that was turned away by the St. Olaf keeper.
The Cobbers will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they travel to Saint Peter for a 3:30 p.m. matchup against Gustavus.
