"So Closes" On First Full Day At The MIAC Meet

The first full day of competition at the MIAC Championship Meet had several “so closes” for Concordia. The Cobbers just missed out on a pair of finals’ entries and a school record. In the end, Concordia swam a season-best time in the 400-yard medley relay and finished in eighth place in the team standings after Thursday’s events.

Concordia seniors Rachel Andersen, Royce Nhantumbo and Brienna Timm were honored during the annual Senior Celebration Meet and then all three turned in season-best marks in their final home meet of the season.

First-year swimmers Callie Metsala and Chea Baugh earned individual event wins and helped the Cobber 200-yard freestyle relay team record a win in the final event in their dual meet at Jamestown.

Junior Kiernan Darling won the 1-meter and 3-meter events at the UM-Morris double dual. Both of her scores were in the Top 7 of the MIAC this year.
Concordia posted three events wins, including the 200-yard freestyle relay, and had seven runner-up finishes in their meet with Jamestown.
