Cobbers Make a Splash with Strong Performances at Saint Benedict Quadrangular
Concordia showed grit and depth at the Saint Benedict Quadrangular, turning in several standout individual and relay efforts. Miranda Meyer led the way with a runner-up finish in the women’s 1-meter diving, while Leah Enedy scored in all three of her individual events, highlighting an impressive early-season performance. The Cobbers’ relay squads also contributed key points, helping the team finish fourth overall and gain momentum heading into their next meet at the University of Mary on November 22.
SAINT JOSEPH, MINN. (Oct. 18, 2025) – The Concordia College (COBB-MN) swim and dive team showcased grit and determination at the Saint Benedict Quadrangular, holding their own against larger programs with a series of standout individual and relay performances.
Leading the charge was Miranda Meyer, who delivered a stellar second-place finish in the women's 1-meter diving event with a score of 165.10, earning 17 points for the Cobbers. Her performance outshone all MIAC conference competitors. Teammates Molly McMullen and Maddie Sather added depth to the diving squad, placing fifth and eighth respectively.
In the pool, Leah Enedy turned in an exceptional meet, scoring in all three of her individual events. She placed 7th in the 200-yard freestyle, 4th in the 200-yard backstroke, and 4th in the 100-yard butterfly, racking up an impressive 43 points.
Vylet Frank contributed solid swims with a 13th-place finish in the 200 freestyle and 11th in the 500 freestyle, while Christina Moore added key points by placing 14th in the 200 freestyle, tied for 18th in the 50 freestyle, and finishing 7th in the 200 backstroke.
Rosie Tran and Jasmine Solorio rounded out the scoring with strong efforts in the backstroke and freestyle events. Tran had a standout day, setting three lifetime bests and dropping time in two events from the previous weekend.
The Cobbers' relay teams demonstrated excellent teamwork and resilience. The women's 200-yard medley relay team—Moore, Enedy, Frank, and Tran—secured 7th place with a time of 2:13.69, earning 28 points. In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the team of Frank, Solorio, Moore, and Enedy also placed 7th, clocking in at 2:00.78 and adding another 28 points to the team total.
Overall, the women's team finished 4th with 207.5 points, helping COBB-MN secure 5th place in the combined team standings. It was a promising early-season showing for the Cobbers, who continue to build momentum and confidence as they head into the rest of the season.
Next up, the Cobbers travel to Bismarck on November 22 to take on the University of Mary.
