Concordia senior Raquel Egge earned MIAC postseason honors for the second time in her career. Egge was named to the MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team in singles play for the recently-completed 2023 season. Egge also received All-Conference Honorable Mention honors for the 2021 season.
Erin Borchard posted a win in both her doubles and singles matches in the Cobbers' season finale at St. Olaf.
Head Coach Zach Zitur changed up the doubles teams against St. Scholastica and it paid off, as the Cobbers won two of the three doubles matches in the team's 5-4 loss to the Saints.
Concordia had its 3-match win streak come to an and as they dropped a pair of decisions against two of the top 5 teams in the conference at home over the weekend.
Concordia completed its MIAC weekend sweep by cruising past Hamline 7-2. The win followed the Cobbers thrilling 5-4 victory at St. Mary’s on Saturday. CC has now won three straight, and four of their past five.
Concordia capped off their spring trip on a sunny note, as the swept Immaculata (Pa.) in its final match in the warm weather.
The second verse was similar to the first in the Cobbers’ second day in Florida. Concordia split their matches on Monday, winning the first and dropping the second and that trend continued against Division II California (Pa.) and Wittenberg (Ohio).
Concordia opened serve on its annual spring trip to Florida on Monday, and came away with a split in its two matches. The Cobbers edged Ursinus (Pa.) 5-4 in a dramatic win in the opener. CC then fell 6-1 to Division II Univ. of Sioux Falls in the second match of the trip.
Less than 24 hours after posting a pair of non-conference wins at home against Minn.-Morris and Wis.-Superior, Concordia dropped its second conference match of 2023.
It was a good day for the Cobbers as they swept their non-conference opponents from the UMAC conference. Concordia opened Saturday by shutting out Minn.-Morris, and then capped the day with an 8-1 win over Wis.-Superior.
Make it two in-a-row for the Cobbers to start 2023. Concordia ran its win streak to two matches with a decisive 9-0 win against Crown in the home opener.
Concordia returned all six players in their lineup and used that experience to roll to an 8-1 victory in the 2023 opener.
