Four Cobbers Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors
Juniors Lizzie Allan and Erin Borchard and seniors Anna Hacker and Mary Skorich were all named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/17/24)---Concordia had four student-athletes named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Juniors Lizzie Allan (Mandan, N.D.) and Erin Borchard (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) and seniors Anna Hacker (Madison, Minn./La qui Parle Valley HS) and Mary Skorich (Virginia, Minn.) all received Academic All-District honors for the first time in their Cobber careers.
The 2024 Academic All-District Women's Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
In order to be eligible for the accolade, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50, and must have been in the lineup for 70 percent of the total matches played by their team that included team scores.
Borchard, Hacker and Skorich appeared in all 22 matches for the Cobbers, while Allan participated in 21 of the 22. Borchard led Concordia in singles wins in 2024. She finished the year with eight victories. Skorich came through with six singles wins with Allan recording five and Hacker posting four.
Skorich was also a part of the top doubles team for the Cobbers. She paired with Raquel Egge and the tandem had four doubles victories.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
