Lee Leads Trio Of MIAC Postseason Honorees
Tanis Lee became the first Cobber player in program history to be named the MIAC Rookie of the Year and was one of three Concordia athletes to receive conference postseason honors.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/05/26)---First-year student-athlete Tanis Lee (Fargo, N.D./Fargo Davies HS) led a group of three Concordia players who all received MIAC postseason honors as voted on by the conference coaches.
Lee was named the MIAC Rookie of the Year as well as being placed on the MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Singles Team. Senior Erin Borchard (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) and junior Annalise Skrade (Fayette, Iowa/Decorah HS) also joined Lee on the All-Conference Honorable Mention Singles Team.
It is the first time for all three players to earn a conference postseason award, and the three honorees represent the most MIAC award winners for the Cobbers in program history.
Lee, Borchard and Skrade helped Concordia record its highest MIAC win total since 2012. CC went 3-7 against league opponents and 6-11 in all matches. Their six overall wins were the most since 2022.
Lee becomes the first player in school history to receive the Rookie of the Year honor since the MIAC started the award in 2023.
Lee was the team's No.1 singles player during the 2026 season and went 3-7 in conference play. She finished the season with a 5-5 record in her last 10 matches.
Borchard played as the team's No.3 and No.4 singles player and went 4-6 in league play. Her four wins led the Cobbers as did her seven overall victories during the year.
Skrade went back-and-forth between the No.4 and No.5 singles positions and also finished the MIAC season with a 4-6 mark. Skrade posted six wins in all matches during the year.
