CC Earns Team & Individual USTFCCCA Academic Honors
Concordia earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors and had a trio of student-athletes named to the All-Academic List.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (7/15/24)---Concordia earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors and had a trio of student-athletes named to the All-Academic List.
In order to be honored as an USTFCCCA All-Academic Team a program must have a combined team grade point average (GPA) of 3.10 on a 4.00 scale.
The Cobber women's track and field team finished the year with a team GPA of 3.53.
The team award marks the 29th consecutive season that Concordia has earned the USTFCCCA honor. The streak started when head coach Marv Roeske began his tenure at Concordia.
Pomona-Pitzer was named both the NCAA Division III Women's Track & Field National Scholar Team of the Year after posting a cumulative GPA of 3.86
More than 175 teams were honored by the USTFCCCA.
Genevieve Gruba, Jenna Kalevik and Peyton Selle were the three Cobber student-athletes to receive the individual All-Academic award. Selle earns the honor for the fourth straight year.
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have finished the season ranked among the Top 50 individuals in an event or have been a part of a relay team that was ranked in the Top 35.
