Lovelace Opens Cobber Career With MIAC Field Athlete Of The Week Honors
Junior transfer Abby Lovelace (Fargo, N.D./Fargo North HS) opened her Concordia career by being named the MIAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (12/16/25)---Junior transfer Abby Lovelace (Fargo, N.D./Fargo North HS) opened her Concordia career by being named the MIAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week.
Lovelace received the honor after posting the top score in the MIAC in the pentathlon at the season-opening NDSU Alumni Classic.
Lovelace finished the five events with a total of 3,164 points which is the not only the best score of any conference athlete, but it is also the fourth best in all of NCAA Division III this year.
Lovelace recorded collegiate bests in four of the five events. She posted a college-best distance of 35-06.75 in the shot put, had a mark of 16-02.25 in the long jump and ran times of 9.78 in 60-meter hurdles and 2:24.19 in the 800 meters (2:24.19). All four marks are in the Top 10 in the MIAC this season and she owns the fastest time in the 800 meter this year.
