A MARVelous Way To End The Season
Cobber Head Coach Marv Roeske made it a clean sweep of the indoor and outdoor Coach of the Year honors for the MIAC and the USTFCCCA as he was named the USTFCCA North Region Outdoor Head Coach of the Year.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/29/26)---And the coaching accolades just keep accumulating for Concordia head coach Marv Roeske.
Roeske made it a clean sweep of the indoor and outdoor Coach of the Year honors for the MIAC and the USTFCCCA as he was named the USTFCCA North Region Outdoor Head Coach of the Year.
After a dreamlike five months where Roeske guided the Cobbers to the MIAC Indoor and Outdoor championships, he caps his season by being named the MIAC Indoor Coach of the Year, the USTFCCCA North Region Indoor Coach of the Year, the MIAC Outdoor Coach of the Year and the USTFCCCA North Region Outdoor Coach of the Year – not a bad 31st year at the helm of the Concordia women's track and field team for Roeske.
Not only are Roeske's Coach of the Year awards symmetrical for the 2026 season, but his career Region Coach of the Year honors also match up quite nicely. Roeske has now won four Region Coach of the Year awards – two indoors and two outdoors. His other two RCOY honors came in 2004 for his other outdoor honors and 1998 for his first region award for the indoor season.
Roeske earned his latest Region Coach of the Year award for leading the Cobbers to the MIAC outdoor title. Concordia scored 172 total points in the meet to capture their first outdoor crown since 2004.
Concordia scored team points in 19 of the 22 events, won conference championships in three events, had 17 All-Conference performances for finishing first, second or third in an event and had 10 other events where they posted All-Conference Honorable Mention honors for finishing fourth, fifth or sixth.
In addition to all the conference accolades, Roeske helped 11 different individuals receive USTFCCCA North All-Region honors. That total was the most in program history.
Concordia also had two athletes qualify for the NCAA National Outdoor Meet with sophomore Chloe Mueffelmann going on to earn All-American Second Team honors as she finished 15th in the shot put.
