Cobber Women Post Strong Team Efforts at Blugold Invitational
Concordia women’s cross country competed at the Blugold Invitational in Colfax, Wis., finishing 13th in the varsity 6K and 12th in the open 6K against a deep regional field.
COLFAX, Wis. (10/3/25) – The Concordia women's cross country team turned in a pair of solid performances against a stacked regional field at the Blugold Invitational on Friday afternoon at Whitetail Golf Course. The Cobbers placed 13th in the varsity 6000-meter race and followed it up with a 12th-place finish in the open division.
In the varsity race, Concordia tallied 366 team points to finish ahead of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Wisconsin-Whitewater. Sophomore Ashley Nelson paced the Cobbers with a 49th-place finish in 23:40.2. She was followed by a tight pack of Brooklyn Hart (75th – 24:02.3), Kelyn Henry-Perlich (77th – 24:05.2), and Lilly Dickinson (79th – 24:06.9). Londyn Ames rounded out the top five with a 99th-place finish in 24:21.2.
The Cobber top five produced a 41-second spread, with Addie Dahl (24:55.2) and Mallory DeVries (25:13.3) completing the varsity top seven.
In the open 6K race, Concordia scored 292 team points for 12th place. Abbi Lemelin led the way with a 66th-place finish in 28:09.4, followed by Faith Krawiecki (84th – 29:12.9), Emery Holland (98th – 30:13.4), and Taelor Dummer (99th – 30:15.4). Hallie Fritel closed out the Cobber scoring group with a 33:02.7 performance.
The Cobbers will host the Homecoming 5K Fun Run this Saturday with race-day registration open from 7–8 a.m. at Memorial Auditorium and the run beginning at 8:30 a.m. Concordia will be back in competition on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. when they travel to Rock Island, Ill., for the Augustana (Ill.) Interregional Invitational.
