Nelson Becomes First All-Region Award Winner Since 2018
The Concordia women’s cross country team wrapped up its 2025 season with a strong showing at the NCAA Division III North Region Championships, finishing 15th against a deep and competitive field at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wis.
COLFAX, Wis. (11/15/25) – Sophomore Ashley Nelson became the first Cobber to earn North All-Region honors as she finished 34th at the NCAA Division III North Region Championships on Saturday. Nelson, who becomes the first Cobber All-Region award winner since 2018, led Concordia to a 15th-place team finish which is the highest since 2019.
The Cobbers totaled 375 points and posted a tight scoring spread of 1:29 among their top five runners, reflecting strong pack running and consistency.
Nelson paced Concordia with a final time of 23:09.0 over the 6K course. Nelson maintained a steady pace with splits of 4:53.5 (1.3K), 6:34.9 (3K), 5:24.1 (4.4K), and 6:16.5 (final 1.6K).
Following Nelson, Brooklyn Hart finished 72nd in 24:02.3, while Kelyn Henry-Perlich crossed the line in 73rd at 24:03.7, showing excellent team depth. Lilly Dickinson finished 88th in 24:16.6, and Londyn Ames rounded out the scoring five in 108th with a time of 24:38.1.
Concordia's top seven was completed by Addie Dahl (138th, 25:19.3) and Mallory DeVries (151st, 25:38.4), giving the Cobbers a combined top-five time of 2:00:09 (24:01 average) and a top-seven total of 2:51:07 (24:26 average).
The North Region field featured 30 teams, making it one of the most competitive championship meets in Division III. Saturday's race marked the end of the season for the Cobbers, who showcased depth, resilience, and teamwork throughout the 2025 campaign and look forward to building on this experience next season.
