For the first 40 minutes in their game at No.8-ranked Wis.-Stevens Point it looked like Concordia would pull off another upset against a Top 10 Division III team. The Pointers were able to change the game’s momentum in the first minute of the third period, scored two goals in the opening 3:08 of the final frame and went on to post a 5-1 win.
There’s a saying in sports: “The score wasn’t indicative of the game.” Most of the time that isn’t true but on Saturday, it was clearly the case as the Cobbers lost 6-3 to No.2-ranked St. Scholastica in the series finale.
