Down But Not Out In Playoff Quest

Concordia is down but not out in its quest for its 11th consecutive MIAC playoff appearance. The Cobbers rallied to take the lead in the third period of the series finale in St. Peter but then gave up a goal in the final 5 minutes of regulation and one more with 56 seconds left in overtime and lost 5-4.

The second and third periods in the Cobbers opener at Gustavus turned into a scene from a Stephen King movie as Concordia gave up six unanswered goals and lost 7-2.

Playoff Hockey Arrives Early In Moorhead

Playoff hockey arrived early in Moorhead, with two of the Top 5 teams in the MIAC battling to a 2-2 overtime tie at the Moorhead Sports Center. Concordia and Augsburg played a tight-checking, high-intense game that was befitting of a conference tournament showdown.

A goal in the fourth minute of overtime kept Concordia from earning an extra point in the MIAC standings in their series opener at Hamline.

Make it three straight games to start the season without a loss for Concordia. The Cobbers extended its unbeaten streak by scoring the first four goals against Northland and cruised to a 6-2 win.
