Cobbers Finish Off Non-Conference Schedule
Concordia finished off its non-conference schedule by dropping a 6-3 decision at Wis.-Stout in an offensive showcase on Saturday. The two teams combined for six goals in the first 18 minutes of play and had a total of 71 shots on goal in the game.

Concordia was never able to get the lead in its second Wisconsin game of the weekend. Stout scored the first two goals on the game in the opening 11:33 of the opening period of play.
Matthew Hard netted his first goal of the season to get the Cobbers within a goal at 2-1 at the 12:15 mark of the first frame.
There would be three more goals scored in the final 6:33 of the period. The Blue Devils retook a 2-goal lead and then Jack Hanson answered with his first goal of the year at 14:02 of the first.
Stout picked up the momentum heading into the second period by scoring the sixth goal of the period at 18:22. That goal once again gave the Blue Devils a 2-goal lead heading into the second stanza.
Tucker Skime made it a trio of first-time goal scorers for CC when he got Concordia within a goal at 4-3 at the 11:09 mark of the second period.
Stout would get the critical "next goal" in the final two minutes of the second period and then added the final insurance goal at 6:09 of the third period.
Concordia was outshot 41-30 in the game with Skime posting a team-high seven shots on goal.
First-year goalie Philippe De Champlain stopped 35 shots in his second start of the season.
Concordia will head back to MIAC play when they play at St. Scholastica on Jan. 17-18 in Duluth.
