Home Court Dominance Travels To Minneapolis
Concordia took its home-court dominance on the road to Minneapolis as they outscored Augsburg 21-3 at the end of the first and second quarters, led by 31 points at halftime and cruised to a 90-69 win.

The victory gives the Cobbers a sweep over the Auggies in the season series. CC has now won 10 of their last 11 games. Concordia is 17-4 overall and 16-2 against conference opponents.
The 90 points scored against Augsburg marked the third time this season that the Cobbers have reached the 90-point plateau in a single game. It is also the eighth time in 2023-24 that CC has won by at least 20 points.
The Cobbers scored seven of the first nine points in the game and finished the opening quarter on a 10-2 run. The second stanza would bring more of the same, with Concordia scoring the first five points and then finishing the half on an 11-1.
When the first 20 minutes of play was in the book, Concordia held a 56-25 lead after shooting 56.8% (21-for-37) from the floor and 64.3% (9-for-14) from outside the arc. CC's defense held Augsburg to 1-for-10 shooting from distance, came away with a 20-6 advantage in points in the paint and a 23-15 rebounding advantage.
Concordia ended the game with a 32-16 margin in points in the paint and a 21-8 advantage in points off of turnovers.
Head Coach Kim Wagers was able to play 14 players in the game with all 14 getting on the scoring sheet.
Junior Makayla Anderson led the Cobbers with 19 points and four rebounds. She was 8-for-12 from the field and connected on her first 3-point field goal of the year.
Emily Beseman had another top all-around game. She posted 12 points, three rebounds and three assists.
First-year post player Maci Wheeldon finished the game with a season-high rebound total. She grabbed five boards and added seven points.
Sophomore Molly Musland joined Wheeldon with five rebounds as the pair put up the top board totals of the game for CC.
Carlee Sieben, Jordyn Kahler and Genevieve Gruba all finished with eight points to give the Cobbers five players with at least eight points in the game.
UP NEXT: Concordia will finish out the regular season next week with two games at home. The Cobbers will host St. Olaf on Wednesday, Feb. 14, and St. Scholastica on Saturday, Feb. 17.
