Concordia trailed 1-0 after one to the defending national champions but then gave up four of the next five goals and lost 5-1 to #3 Gustavus. Sophomore Morgan Sauvageau had the lone goal for the Cobbers.

A 3-goal second period proved to be the difference in the Cobbers’ series finale at Bethel. Concordia and the Royals skated to a 2-2 tie in the first and third frames, but Bethel was able to score thee straight in the second period and come away with a 5-2 win.

Concordia scored the first goal and the last goal in its series opener at Bethel. Everything in between just added to the drama of the Cobbers’ 3-2 overtime win over the Royals.

Success Is Simple; New Uniforms = Win

Forget practice, preparation and hard work. If a team truly wants to be successful, all they have to do is buy new uniforms. The Cobbers unveiled their new away jerseys on Saturday and rolled over Wis.-Superior 7-3.

The Cobbers were shut out by the Yellowjackets in the first and second periods but then scored two goals in the first 11 minutes of the final frame to come away with a 2-1 win.

Sauvageau's Hot Streak Not Enough In Series Finale

Morgan Sauvageau continued her recent scoring tear but it wasn’t enough as Concordia fell 2-1 to Hamline in the series finale. Sauvageau scored her fourth goal in the last five games in the Cobbers’ third 1-goal loss of the season.

2-Goal Lead Disappears In Final 14 Minutes

It looked like Concordia was headed for its first conference win of the season in the series finale with St. Benedict. The Cobbers had a 2-goal lead with 15 minutes left in the third period but then surrendered two goals in the final 14 minutes of regulation, gave up the game-winner 8 seconds into the overtime period and lost 5-4.
