Zierden Leads Cobbers On Day 1 At NCAA Regional

Senior Gabe Zierden led Concordia on the opening day of the Upper Midwest Regional Meet held at Concordia University in Mequon, Wis. Zierden is one of seven Cobber wrestlers still alive for a shot at the national meet.

No.5-ranked Ty Bisek posted a pin in his match at 133 against Augsburg. Bisek has now won 15 straight matches and is 25-1 on the year.
Pin Fest Turns Against Cobbers At #2 Augsburg

#24 Concordia and #2 Augsburg combined for seven pins in their dual match in Minneapolis. Ty Bisek and Cade Lundeen got the pins for CC but it wasn't enough as they lost 40-12.

Senior Gabe Zierden went 2-0 with a pin and a tech fall, and placed fourth at 197 at the Don Parker Open.
One More Trip Through Wisconsin

Concordia closed out the multi-team invitational portion of its schedule by competing in the Don Parker Wis.-Eau Claire Open – an invite that featured wrestlers from NCAA Division I and II schools.

Illinois Has Been Very, Very Good To The Cobbers

For the second time in three weekends, the Cobbers went to the Land of Lincoln and posted some eye-opening regional results.

Concordia traveled 629 miles to compete at the Elmhurst  Invite, and came away with eight Top 6 individual finishes & a 2nd-place team finish.
Well Worth The Miles

It was a 629-mile road trip to Illinois for the Cobbers in their first multi-team invitational of 2023, but the results were well worth the bus miles. Concordia had eight wrestlers post Top 6 finishes at the Elmhurst Al Hanke Invitational which helped the team place second in the 18-team meet.

A Nationally-Ranked Friday Night Battle

No.25-ranked Concordia led Division II nationally-ranked Northern State after the first five matches, but then the Wolvers were able to come through with a late-meet surge and grab a 29-13 victory.

Bonus-Point Saturday In Ohio

Concordia won 23 individual matches in their four duals at the Kalahari Duals Meet, and 22 of those victories came via the bonus point variety.

Cobbers Split Duals In Bismarck

Concordia split their two dual matches at the University of Mary Triangular Meet. The Cobbers beat Dickinson State 39-9, and then fell 41-3 to the No.8-ranked Marauders.

No.10-ranked Ty Bisek went 4-0 and won the gold division of the 133-lb weight class at the Augsburg Invite. Bisek is now 8-0 on the season.

Sophomore Ty Bisek earned his second individual tournament title of the season and led a group of eight Cobber wrestlers who all posted Top 5 finishes at the Augsburg Invitational.

The referee signals the pin for senior Kellen Schauer in his win at 149, which helped the Cobbers beat MSU Moorhead 33-10.
A-to-Z Victory Keeps Win Stretch Intact Over MSUM

Ayden Friese won the first match, and Gabe Zierden claimed the victory in the final match as Concordia beat crosstown rival MSU Moorhead for the 11th time in the last 12 outings.

Senior Cade Lundeen was one of four Cobber wrestlers to win weight-class titles at the season-opening Jimmie Open. He went 4-0 at 141.
