MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (2/12/26) — Concordia opened day two of the 2026 MIAC Swimming & Diving Championships with several Cobbers turning in strong efforts during Thursday's preliminary rounds. Facing deep fields across multiple events, Concordia athletes delivered season-best marks, championship debuts, and steady performances as competition continued at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.
The Cobbers began the morning in the women's 500-yard freestyle, where first-years Tinsley Porter and Vylet Frank competed. Porter led the way with a 6:13.64 to place 35th, while Frank followed in 36th after posting a 6:39.19.
Sophomore Leah Enedy carried the momentum into the 200-yard individual medley, clocking a season-best 2:26.01 to finish 26th. Her swim marked another consistent performance in a technically demanding event and continued her steady progression throughout the season.
In the fast-paced 50-yard freestyle, junior Rosie Tran represented the Cobbers and improved upon her seed time, finishing 31st with a lifetime-best 29.22. Her swim added another solid effort to Concordia's sprint group on the championship stage.
The Cobbers' best finish of the day came on the 1-meter diving board, where senior Molly McMullen delivered a consistent 11-dive list to score 281.05, earning 13th place in prelims and narrowly missing the finals by just a couple of places.
Concordia returns to action tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. for day three of the MIAC Championship.
